Gratitude:

A dream of wild fantasy that I was lost in,

Showed me glimpses of an apocalypse begin.

I woke up with a sudden, shuddering fright,

Only to feel the warmth of sun, kiss me bright. A smile of solace swept over my face,

As I offered my Gratitude to count that grace. Did I speculate some unpleasant dreams?

Or did my faith slowly waver towards extremes?

From across the sea

A poet's writes reaches me

We wake in known lands

Little words on a large map

Happy, I am, to know you.

To shades of nature and colours of love,

To breezy winds and drizzling rains,

To majestic mountains and oceans deep,

A treasure of reserves, does mankind deserve?

Always falling short of kind little words,

Gratitude being the only source...

Gratitude is a body

With which we breathe in and out

Warm air and aqua

With which we give and we take

Ours to borrow and return.

Invoking blessings from the Heavens above,

I bow in Gratitude, deep and low,

The rays of warm light, golden bright,

Falling upon lands, day and night,

I inhale the goodness of holy gifts,

And exhale a hearty circle for life!
