Moving On:
When the bottle of soap is empty,
It would do nicely to fill it with water.
Thankfully, the same can be said for a bottle
Of shampoo and conditioner.
When all you have is a kiddy pool,
Just under your size,
Always remember to have a glass
Of cheap red wine by your side.
When it is chilly and the rain displays no intentions of stopping
Simply gaze out a wide window,
With a colorful blanket about your shoulders
And a very large steaming cup
Of chamomile tea nearby.
When your words escape you,
And your fingers seem not to move effortlessly over the keys
Put it all aside and relish in the simplicity
Of a much beloved book.
When your pitchfork is brittle,
And the tire of your wheelbarrow deflates
Cackle at the face of hindrance
And finish what you started
No matter what the consequence.
When you regret what you have become,
Find another way to begin again.
