Three Poems Burning Bright:

A year nearly spent

my houseplant prepares to bloom

winter waits outside

snow falls - pebble-size flurries

tapping lightly on the pane.

Damp, golden sand

a picture of two lovers

caught in their embrace.

Night train in the rain

wooden fence posts in the fog

street lights standing still

in that place where city streets

meet, and cars dance in moonlight.
